During the month of May, Ohler went to Selma, AL to take part in a full week of events focused on temporary housing. The first initiative was to install Ohler’s Next Generation Tank and Pump System (TPS) and validate its fit, form, and function. The second initiative was to witness/assess the Ohler TPS performance in a live fire exercise. The Ohler TPS performed as expected and extinguished the fire in seconds. Finally, a live-fire exercise was conducted on a Mobile Home Unit (MHU) which had the sprinkler system disabled, demonstrating the burn rate without a suppression system. This exercise gave real credibility to the lifesaving capabilities of a residential fire sprinkler system.
