Sugar Creek Fire Department near Terre Haute, Indiana

The Sugar Creek Fire Department is proud to be taking delivery of this new Darley AutoCAFS pumper with a CoPolymer “PolyBilt” body.

The vehicle was built on a Spartan Metro Star chassis with a 380 horsepower Cummins ISL 9 and an Allison automatic 3000 EVS transmission. The fire pump is the Darley model LDMBC 1500 GPM featuring the AutoCAFS pumping system plumbed to five (5) compressed air foam discharges. Class A foam is injected using the FoamPro 2001 and the stream is propelled using the 220 CFM rotary screw air compressor. The control panel is the Darley “Wrap-Around Vision” panel with a color-embedded laminate material. Seven large compartments on this PolyBilt body surround the integral CoPolymer 765 gallon water tank and 30 gallon foam tank. The body has a rear slide in ladder rack to the right side and slide in suction hose storage to the left side. The vehicle also features a custom hydraulic hose reel compartment mounted above the right side of the body alongside the extra deep hosebed. This rig also features a cab roof mounted Knight Light 2 by Command Light with 4 – 150 Watt 12 volt lights.
