On MARCH 5, 2020, Spartan Emergency Response, a subsidiary of REV Group and a leading manufacturer of fire apparatus, has been awarded a five-year contract with the Detroit Fire Department to supply the city with 35 vehicles.

The twelve initial apparatus will be six pumpers, five aerials, and one mid-mount platform. The Spartan pumpers will be equipped with Darley PSM Single Stage Pumps rated at 1,500 GPM. The Darley PSM Single Stage Pump has a compact design, which means lighter weight and smaller pump compartment, thus making more valuable space available on the truck. The PSM will provide years of reliable service and has been the choice of thousands of departments around the world.

The Spartan Aerials feature the Darley 1-1/2 AG Pump rated at 80 GPM. The PTO 1-1/2 AG is a single-stage PTO drive that provides an apparatus with the boost needed to get the job done. The pump is lightweight and durable, a perfect choice for an aerial or mini pumper.

The Spartan Mid Mount Platform features the Darley LDM Pump. The LDM is a high-pressure booster pump with air shift and heat-treated gears. It is a powerful pump that helps round out a fleet of apparatus. The pump can serve on aerials, pumpers, pumper tankers, rescue pumpers, and more.
