Founded in 2001, Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus is the largest buyer and seller of used fire trucks in the Western Hemisphere. The business was founded by James Wessel, who is still active in the day to day operations. One of Mr. Wessel’s passions is the fire industry and being a help to support fire departments nationwide. With that passion, he has built BMFA into a unique and dynamic company in the industry selling over 500 fire trucks a year.
Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus is in business to do 3 things with excellence:
1) Buy and sell fire trucks, 2) Help others buy and sell fire trucks, and 3) Provide routine repair and maintenance, collision, and refurbishment services. In addition to routine work the Brindlee team specializes in end to end refurbishment of fire apparatus having recently completed full refurbishment projects for customers ranging from the Department of Defense, paid fire departments, private fire protection agencies, and volunteer fire departments.
