Hi, I’m Paul Darley, thanks for tuning in to watch the December issue of Inside Darley.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your family. At Darley, we are grateful for our employees and their hard work, as well as the first responders that we have the privilege to serve. Sales with a purpose is what drives us.
On November 15th, I had the opportunity to speak at the International Association of Fire Chiefs Volunteer & Combination Officers Section annual meeting. The conference was named Symposium in the Sun. There were over 650 attendees and a lineup of great speakers. The organizers did a fantastic job getting key figures from the fire industry to attend, including John Buckman, Fred Windisch, Bob Bettenhausen, Keith Bryant, and more. Our first attachment are the slides from my presentation.
In celebration of Christmas, our second attachment is a digital copy of my book “Sold! The Art of Relationship Sales Using Emotional Intelligence and Authentic Leadership.” The digital version has links that lead to data and articles that expand the message of the book. All the proceeds of the book go to charity, so if you liked the book and want to help some great organizations, consider purchasing the physical version.
We are big supporters of our local community, one of the resources available to us, is Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. They recently helped us with a scaling project. Our defense advisory board is meeting this month, several of our new members are involved in the school. General Bernie Banks is joining our defense board, he is a retired Brigadier General who is currently an Associate Dean at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Another member that is joining our team is Fernando Harris. Fernando was a Navy Commander and Chief of Staff as well as former Northwestern graduate. Finally, we are adding Captain Neil Guinan. Neil is a former Navy SEAL.
Thanks for tuning in to this issue of Inside Darley, if there is anything we can be doing to assist you, we hope you reach out to us. Merry Christmas.
